FAQ

Who is this program best

suited for?

Everyday Aliveness is best suited for anyone who is yearning for more of a sense of presence, connection, intimacy, and aliveness in their daily experience: Those who don't feel like that is possible or have never experienced that before, those who have an inkling that something more might be possible but don't know how to make it happen, and those who have explored these themes before but want to increase the consistency of their sense of connectedness.

Do I need to be "spiritual" to participate in this program?

Many people join this program as a way to feel more connected to the world around them, precisely because they do not consider themselves "spiritual" or have other spiritual outlets at the moment. You can show up exactly as you are, and know that I and the group will welcome you to be there.

How are folks with marginalized identities supported in this space?

To make the program a safer space for those holding marginalized identities and experiences, the group is given guidelines for how they can contribute to a safer meeting space in the welcome packet and we spend time during the opening circle discussing how to celebrate and hold the differences between us as a crucial component of the container. Participants have the option to be connected to a sharing buddy based on affinity  (such as a shared identity or experience), and to have separate affinity-based break-out rooms during the group calls.

Do I need to attend all of

the live calls?

You are encouraged to join the weekly live calls, because that is where the community really forms. However, they are not mandatory.  The calls will be recorded so you can watch on your own time if that's what you'd prefer to do.

The only calls that are mandatory are the three integration calls, which happen on weeks 4, 8, and 12.

Do I have to follow the

prompts exactly?

No! The prompts that you will be sent exist to guide you through a pathway of growing connection, but you are very welcome to adapt and modify them to better suit your desires and needs. Sometimes folks take the prompts in a different direction, and they are encouraged to share when they do with the group so others can benefit from seeing a different take on how to run them.

What if I don't do any of the prompts for one week?

All of the prompts and other content are yours forever once you join. You can move through them at your own pace. If you don't do any one week, you are still very welcome to join the group call that week and share thoughts on the theme, do the live practice, or just listen to what other people tried for that week.
