The 2020 Mid-Atlantic Permaculture Convergence was designed for practitioners who are working to build a regional economy, share knowledge, critique the permaculture field, and grapple with the legacy of colonialism woven into how we interface with land. It was a collaborative virtual conference that brought together land stewards, dreamers, farmers, activists, educators and organizers, to envision a bioregional movement that represents the diversity of the Mid-Atlantic, honors traditional knowledge and lifeways, and enables deep collaboration between people, land, and organizations in this region.

It took place over six days, each day featuring a particular theme and selected speakers that are working to further that theme. The themes were: decolonization in the bioregion, bioregional economy, building collective knowledge, and communities of practice.
